PRE-CARE

  •  Medical Clearances: If you are under a physician’s care or taking Coumadin/Heparin, I require a written release prior to your appointment.

  •  Medications: You must be off Accutane for 1 year and Retin-A/Retinol for 7 days.

  •  Avoid Blood Thinners: Do not take Aspirin, Ibuprofen, Niacin, or Tylenol for 72 hours before your procedure.

  •  Lifestyle: Avoid alcohol and caffeine 24 hours prior to minimize swelling. Do not work out the day of your appointment.

  •  Botox/Fillers: These must be done at least 6 weeks before or 6 weeks after your appointment.

  •  Sun Protection: No tanning or sunburns on the face.

  •  Skin Health: The procedure will be rescheduled if you have active blemishes, cold sores, or skin irritation in the brow area.

  •  Sensitivity: Please be aware that being on your menstrual cycle can increase pain sensitivity during the session.

POST-CARE

  •  Immediate Care: Expect tenderness, redness, and swelling for a few days. For the first 12 hours, gently dab off excess lymph fluid/blood with a clean tissue and cold water to prevent thick crusting.

  •  Swelling: You may alternate between ice and hot packs to relieve any swelling.

  •  Cleaning & Ointment: Wash the area with warm water at night. Apply a very thin layer of A&D ointment only if the skin feels tight or before bathing. Do not over-apply.

  •  Hands Off: Use only clean cotton swabs to touch the area—never your fingers. Do not rub, scratch, or pick at any scabs or dry skin, as this can cause scarring or pigment loss.

  •  Color Changes: Brows will appear much darker and bolder for 5–7 days. The true color will emerge 4–6 weeks later.

  •  Healing Process: Some areas may fade more than others. This is normal and will be addressed at your 4–6 week touch-up.

  •  Patience: Results may take 1–3 sessions to achieve your desired look. Note that working over existing scar tissue may require additional sessions and fees.
